Update on Lucy

Hello my friends, was too tired to post last night but I trust you all had a wonderful weekend.

Kathy has just called me.....Lucy is going to be okay. Thank you God. She has to have surgery to remove the birthmark but everyone is so thankful that it can be removed. There had been a chance it had grown in through her head and scalp and the worry was if it was attached to her in a permanent way then they wouldn't be able to remove it, they also had to wait for lab results today to see if it was malignant or not.....but that was then, this is now and I am very happy. She is having the surgery either today or tomorrow morning and if everything goes well she will only be in hospital for a week. Kathy reminded me "twice" to thank all of you for your prayers, they so appreciated all of us. Lucy is remaining in ICU until the surgery is over but in my heart I now feel all is going to be well. Thank you all so very much.

I just returned from the dentist, I had a filling and they did an impression of the tooth they had removed to add to my partial plate. I am completely frozen and my jaw is quite painful but I just couldn't wait to tell you the news about Lucy. I knew you all were so concerned.

Our weather is absolutely beautiful.....much nicer than July or August has been. I am so enjoying this extra sunshine.

Am going to get some ginger ale (with a straw) take a Tylenol and watch the tennis, perhaps even take a nap. I didn't realize how frighten I was over Lucy and now that relief has taken over my body I am exhausted.

Thank you again my friends, love you all and many, many hugs......:-)

HI BERNIE -

Rest now, relax and heal. The calm after the storm is always exhausting.

Love and peace

Joyful news!
Thank you for posting, Bernie!

And I join everyone in prayers of Thanksgiving! Beautiful!

I hope you feel better too, and I hope you did get to take a nap. It's always like that, the strain of a trial sometimes does keep that anxious adrenaline going, and then the crash. I think an emotional drain is sometimes more exhausting to the body than any physical exertion.

Feel good.
Love you, Eileen

Great news and I will keep on praying that all just keeps on getting better and that your jaw stops hurting too! Didn't they give you enough anesthesia/novocaine for the filling...is that why it still hurts? I certainly don't like you to be in pain. Well it's Mass and prayer group day so I will send more prayers your way!

blessings and loving hugs,

marcy

That was wonderful news about Lucy...hope everything comes back with good results Bernie...I just finished posting myself and saw your post of a few hours ago.

Eileen is right...I would rather work hard than have a worry preying on my mind...our bodies do hold on to that stress and and eventually get us down...

Have a relaxing evening Bernie,
Wanda

So glad to hear about Lucy. I am glad you will be able to rest now since the anxiety is gone. Babies get so sick so fast and can get well just as quick, thank goodness.

Such wonderful news about Lucy - her family must be exhausted both physically and emotionally. I'm glad you didn't have to speak to give us the news, Bernie - the wonders of the Internet! You have had so many dental traumas in the past month or so - hope they'll soon be over. Rest and take care!

Wanda, hello my friend, wasn't it wonderful news, I was so relieved.
I too would rather a hard day's work than worrying about someone I love....it's impossible not to feel the pain of those we love.
Jaw is much better and am just about finished with my teeth until next year, it will be good when it's all done, I only need a cleaning now which is scheduled for Oct.
Hope you are well and will talk with you soon....luv ya...:-) Hugs

Thank goodness about the baby. Now we will pray for her fast recovery after her surgery and for a fast reunion with her parents at home.
Take Care Bernie, that dental stuff can be quite painful and makes such a difference in our comfort (as you well know!)
Glad you are experiencing some of the warm weather we have had the last 2 weeks. Isn't it a blessing? A colder front moved in here tonight, so I think we are done with the Indian summer we were blessed with earlier.
