Going to Be Sunny - Tomorrow

It was raining and cool here today, as you can see I had to light a fire to keep warm and cozy.

Here is the hanging basket at my front door, it has almost tripled in size since I hung it up...Wanda do you know what the name of the flower is?

Hello my friends, I do hope you all had better weather than I did today. I have charged batteries for my camera and took a couple of pictures. It was not a nice day to go outside for more and I didn't feel well enough too. I only puttered around today to say the least. It is suppose to warm up tomorrow and for that I am thankful.

I didn't even try to exercise today but I am going to Curves tomorrow, and looking forward to it. I did have a comfortable day though not nearly the pain I felt last night. I did enjoy the day by watching golf and started a romance novel by Nora Roberts. It's light reading, perfect for a day like today.

I hope you all enjoyed Father's Day with your families. I could smell in the air all the BBQ's cooking tonight and I smiled to myself. It was probably the fathers that were doing the cooking. That's okay as long as the families were together it doesn't matter does it?

Thank you Marcy for your hints on helping arthritis, I am going to go to the Health Food Store tomorrow as I will try anything right now.

Am off to read favorite blogs and comments.....Good Night my friends and as always,
God Bless.....:-) hugs

Bernie, that fire looks so cozy and inviting. It reminds me of the Yule log we watch on TV every Christmas morning as we open gifts.
We used to have a fireplace in our house when we lived in Minnesota (and we used it A LOT, it was freezing there!), I miss it and would love to have one here. Now we just have a little chiminea that we use out on our back deck on Fall nights to toast marshmallows.

I hope you find something to give you relief from your arthritis. I'll say a prayer.

Your flowers are beautiful! My baskets and potted plants are looking pitiful. Lots and lots of rain, but almost no sun.
It was the same with the plants at the cemetery. Oh well, hopefully once we get sun they will perk up.

Feel better, Bernie.
All the best, Eileen

Bernie...Your flowers are so pretty. What's your secret?
I hope that you find something to ease the pain of your arthritis.
Spending quiet time with a good book sounds heavenly. I hope that you have a restful evening and a great day tomorrow.
Smiles from Jackie

Eileen, thank you I did have a cozy day by the fire. I love a fireplace as well and cannot see being without one but won't know if I will find a place with one when I move back home, have to wait and see. I have friends who have chiminea's in their back yards and I like them to sit around as well. I looked out my window at my flowers on the deck and they are not doing nearly as well as my hanging baskets. We have only had a few days of sun and our growing season is bad this year or so they tell me.
This attack of my rheumatoid arthritis isn't as bad as the last one and I'm not as swollen tonight. That means it will pass soon as long as the weather co-operates. I have been playing on my laptop tonight, it's fun.
Until tomorrow.....:-) Hugs

Jackie, I use Miracle Grow in my hanging baskets and they have grown so much, I love them. Unfortunately, the rest aren't doing as well, I think it's because of our weather but I am still enjoying this new experience. I am better tonight my friend and hopefully even more so tomorrow. Until then....:-) Hugs

Hi Bernie,
Just catching up with you after a busy few days. Hope you have a warmer, dryer day tomorrow and that your arthritis is better. I also had a fire in my fireplace today but here in the Mts of CO, that's not unusual, no matter the season. Your hanging plant is just beautiful - full and colorful.
I enjoyed reading the 10 things about you. I can tell you are very optimistic and outgoing from your posts.
Feel Better and keep smiling!

Hi Barb, great to have you back, I've missed you. I don't normally use the fireplace after it's been cleaned from the winter but today I used it to get rid of the dampness. Thanks for your kind words my friend....:-) Hugs

The fireplace looks so inviting to sit by and the flowers so beautiful :D

It's alright if you didn't do anything major. At times, the me time must also be enjoyed thoroughly minus the worries. You'll be fine Bernie, I will hope and pray you get better in no time.

Good morning Bernie...I think your plant is a basket of different colored Wave Petunias...
It is beautiful and so large...is it hard for you to water it? Be careful if you have to climb on anything...I would need a step stool myself...I can't imagine bringing it down to water it...it must weigh 50 lbs. when when fully wet :) Maybe it's not as high as it appears...but be careful anyway.

All three "kids" showed up at the same time yesterday...did a lot of laughing.

Hope this morning your arthritis pain has faded away completely...The small amount I have in my fingers is always worse when I first get up in the morning, but is better within an hour...

Smile and take care today Bernie.

You got some great pictures, Bernie and you have a beautiful fireplace...is it in your living room? Of course, it doesn't look as appealing as we are dealing with very hot and very humid weather!
Sure hope the cherry juice and the alfalfa tablets help you...they do wonders for Mimi and my thumb has stopped having spells where I could not bend it, in fact, even my carpal tunnel has really improved.

blessings and hugs,

marcy

Wish I could fan some of the heat from OUR place to yours! But the humidity would have to come, too...and I wouldn't wish it upon my enemies!

Our VBS begins today. We're trying mornings this year. The enrollment is up - to my surprise. I wasn't sure if it was a convenient time for working parents, etc. But I know the workers will appreciate having evenings free.

Glad to year your pain has lessened. I'll be cheering you on your exercise at Curves while I walk myself this morning.

Hello Stillness, you are so very kind my young friend, I may have another "me" day today but hopefully not. Thanks for info, have a great Monday....:-) Hugs

Good Morning Wanda, I am only 5'2" and I have to use a stool to water both my hanging baskets. The one in front is directily under a large eve so it doesn't get as much rain water, so I water every day and on those very hot days, sometimes I water twice. I just go by the feel of the soil. When Terry visits she turns them for me.
Oh yes I am much worse in the mornings and it usually takes awhile before the stiffness works out but it usually does. I have no idea why this attack started later on Sat. but I started hurting and the swelling became severe. I am a bit better than Sat. for sure.
So glads the kids were there and to all be together...wonderful!
Have a great day my friend and thank you......:-) Hugs

Hi Marcy, it is very damp and cool again this morning but it is early, I am hoping the sun comes out sometime.
It can't hurt for me to try the Cherry juice and tablets so I will. Yes the fireplace is in my living room with long windows on each side of it, I even had the blinds pulled up but it still was dark as it was cloudy and raining when I took it. Have a great day my friend....:-) Hugs

Hi Rebecca, enjoy your heat my friend I really could use some.
I am a bit stiff and swollen this morning but not as bad as earlier.
You are doing well walking my friend and don't you feel better when you finish. I so enjoy Curves, they have something for everyone there. Enjoy VBS and have a wonderful day...:-) Hugs

I was crazy busy and just tonight I am catching up on 3 days of reading other people's blogs...!
Your flowers are beautiful and I am also glad your others survived the hail storm!

Well Bernie I did comment this morning but I probably pushed the wrong button! I'm not with it lately.
Anyway it was so funny seeing your fireplace, first of all it is almost identical to mine and secondly when I saw the fire it was 84 degrees here and so so humid! It felt like a tropical island. I much prefer the chill! Although it is very rough on the arthritis.I hope yours starts getting better soon. I know working out really helped me with that. I didn't feel like going today though. Maybe tomorrow. Hope you had a great day Bernie!

Cozy. I wish it was cooler in Ohio. Its so humid. I don't mind the heat, its the humidity that I hate.

Is that a gas fireplace? A fire in the fireplace --- makes an ordinary evening, special. Who is the little guy next to your fireplace? He's cute!

Bernie said...

Joan, I had a busy hectic day today so I know what you mean. Great hearing from you... :-) Hugs

Hi Diana, only received the one post today sweetie. I know I have never had a fire in June in my life unless it's been outside but it was so cool and damp yesterday and very hard on the arthritis. Hope you feeling better, take care.

Hi Annette, no it's a wood fireplace and my friends gave me that little guy for my birthday as a joke, you wouldn't believe what it says when you squeeze it's hand, it's really funny. I did have a quiet cozy day yesterday....Great hearing from you..... :-) Hugs

Bernie, thank you so much for you good wishes.
I hope your pain is lessening, my doctor has put me on some new tablets for my arthritis pain, they are really helping, but make me sleepy. I always take Glucosomine, I am sure it helps me too. My sister had a new elbow on one arm and a new shoulder on the other, she is pretty bad with R.A and has monthly infusions to control the condition. I am not as bad as she.
Blessing to you dear Bernie.
Love Granny
