Hey .....Getting Better

Hello my friends, I do hope you all had a wonderful day. Diana I am praying and hoping you are feeling better my friend.

I had a much better day today, unable to tell you all my pain is gone. I am just trying to work my way through it.

Our weather was very cool this morning and it absolutely poured down rain all night. I watched an exciting US Open finish up this morning....My heart was so pulling for Phil Michelson.

When the golf was over I had a relaxing lavender bubble bath, dressed and drove to Curves. I had been riding my bike the end of last week, but today I drove the car. I was surprised as the only trouble I had with the machines were the handles I hold on to. My back, legs and feet were okay and I really enjoyed my workout.

I had 2 cortisone shots this afternoon and the doctor changed my RA medication so here's hoping all will be well soon. I met 2 of my friends for an early dinner when I went into the city this afternoon. We were chatting away when one of them said she wanted to see the movie, The Proposal with Sandra Bullock. My other friend called the Cineplex from the restaurant and the next show was starting in 20 minutes so off we went. I loved the movie......it was warm and funny....I think you would call it a chick flick but if you get the chance I highly recommend it.

Needless to say when I got home I was tired. I don't know if it was the needles, the exercise or just out most of the day but I fell asleep in my Lazy Boy Chair for over 4 hours. It will be awhile before I fall asleep tonight.

Oh just an update as all your wonderful prayers are working, Allan is doing quite well now and may be out of hospital next week and Kathy is right on schedule. I will be talking to her on Wednesday.

Take care my friends, I thank each of you for caring.....Good Night and God Bless

I so happy to note you're getting better and didn't let the few remnants of pain get you down. I haven't been as brave lately. I am also glad that you thoroughly enjoyed your day. Take good care of yourself Bernie. Have a great day ahead

And here...I watered plants from the rain collected in our barrels last night. Some show signs of stress - mainly from heat. They SAY rain, but we haven't seen it yet.

I'm glad you have the lazy boy and got those 4 hours of sleep. Nights get long though, I imagine, when pain plays with your mind & body.

I'm going to see if The Proposal is here. I've not seen a good movie for quite some time.

Good morning Bernie...Hope you had a restful night and were able to fall sleep with no trouble...I didn't know you had a bike...I have one myself but would only ride it here for the exercise...never actually went anywhere on it...Now we need a photo of you on your bike! :)

It's been dry here for a few days now...may need to water the garden...a few years ago it was drought like all summer...I love the rain...just not long periods of it.

Have finished my morning coffee with you and am going outside...Enjoy your day Bernie.
Smile and take care!

I'm so glad things are looking up for you and your loved ones!
And I'm so amazed at how much you accomplish each day with not feeling one hundred percent! That's really something.

Ray and I were both hoping Phil would win too, he seemed so confident when he first started out.

Thanks for the information on the movie, we'll probably wait for it to come out on 'pay per view', but I'll write it down for future reference (Ray and I take turns, he picks his 'shoot 'em up' type movies and then I pick a 'chick flick').

'Glad you're feeling a little better, keep improving!
All the best,
Eileen

Good Morning Bernie! Hopefully this comment will stay stuck! I'm glad you got your shots yesterday. I used to actually look forward to them! And I hope the new medication works for you. You are right to keep moving though, it's the best thing!
"The Proposal" looked good. I want to see it too.
Thanks for your prayers Bernie, One more day and I hope I will at least know something!

It's good to hear there's some improvement.

Now, please do remember that with alfalfa pills, it takes time to see an improvement, but they have worked for all of the people I happen to know.

Also remember how therapeutic laughter is, so find funny things and funny stories and funny movies!

blessings and hugs and prayers for no pain at all,

marcy

Glad you went to the Dr. for a change in meds. and for a cortisone shot...both should help.
We have had sweltering hot for the last 3 days...80's with 80 percents in the humidity!!! Our plants don't know how to act...they are living in a hot house.

Hi Stillness, yes I keep going, if I stayed down every day I had pain I would never be able to go anywhere. I have pain 24/7 and have learned to incorporate it into my life. Some days are much worse and those are the days I dread with all of my heart. But somehow it always works out. You can be brave and do it as well. I look around and see so many who have it worse than me, so I count my many blessings and enjoy the good days. Take care my young friend, and thanks for all your kind words and such good advice. You are wise beyond your years.
Have a great day.....:-) Hugs

Rebecca, it's amazing to me how some areas are sweltering in heat and other area are bogged down in dampness. I do think a rain barrel is a wonderful idea though, saves dragging out the hose all the time.
I love my naps Rebecca and just smile if the door bell rings and I get "caught", it is what it is.
Oh yes I am sure you will enjoy the movie and your husband might as well. Have a great day..:-)Hugs

Good morning Wanda, I am having my coffee now as well as watching Wimbeldon on TV, and blogging. I am not sure where or even if I am focused enough. Yes, I did fall asleep and had a great 7 hours of it. Sun is out today but still cool this morning. I too enjoy the rain in fact all the elements and like you not to many days in a row of the same. Love when everything is mixed up. Don't think I could live in a place that didn't have a bit of everything. I love my bike, in fact my brother told me 2 weeks ago he bought an extra one to have there for me when I go home so we all can bike ride. (Just think of Miss Murder she Wrote) that's me. Have a wonderful day my friend...:-)Hugs

Hi Eileen, yes I am blessed to be able to lead a normal life with this horrible disease. I do what I can but I do have my days...I know you will love the movie, Ray might as well but it's definitedly not a shoot'em one.
Have a wonderful day my friend, hope the sun is shining and you get to enjoy the pool....:-) Hugs

Hey Diana, yup you did stay
"stuck" this morning and I am glad you did. I will be glad when you see the Dr. tomorrow and I pray he can help you right away. It's not fun when you don't feel well. Hope Katie is helping you around the house and yard.
There are so many good medications for RA but my body is so sensitive that we are having a hard time finding something I can take.
Have a great day my friend.... I will be thinking of you....:-)Hugs

Hi Marcy...I did get the alfalfa tablets yesterday, am waiting for the new meds from Dr. to kick in before I start them though. I found Cherry Juice in the grocery store but had to much sugar in it, I need to find sugarless. I love to laugh Marcy and there is always something that has me laughing each day, I agree with you it's does a body good to have a good belly laugh. Hope all is going well with you my friend....
Have a great day....:-) Hugs

I thought of you last night Joan, I don't know how you manage to keep up with so many followers yet yo do. You go Girl!.....:-) Hugs

I'm so glad to hear the good news that you are feeling better...the good news about Allan is better and that Kathy is on track as well...What wonderful, wonderful news.
I wondered if the Sandra Bullock movie was good. I heard that it had a good opening...and I want to see it.
I continue to have Allan and Kathy in my prayer journal...and will be happy to write the information you shared today in there under today's date. Have a restful evening.
Many smiles,
Jackie

Oh Bernie, I am so saddened to hear this. I wish there was something I knew about it that I could pass on to you. But if I find useful information on how to tackle arthritis, I shall let you know.

You are such a HUGE inspiration to me Bernie. You've no clue how big. You are so wise. I truly love your thoughts on life. Keep going Bernie. I know you can and you will. May God be with you and bless you always :)

Bernie said...

Stillness, I am fine really and arthritis is just a part of my life, there is no cure but it can be controlled. Do not worry my young friend I love my life and all that it is and that includes having you in it. Now don't fuss about me and go see what they can do for that wisdom tooth...you don't need suffering like that...
