There's A Reason

For ev'ry pain, that we must bear
For ev'ry burden, ev'ry care
There's a reason.

For ev'ry grief, that bows the head,
For ev'ry tear drop that is shed,
There's a reason.

For ev'ry hurt, for ev'ry plight
For ev'ry lonely, pain-racked night,
There's a reason.

But if we trust God, as we should
It all will work out for our good
He knows the Reason.

Hello my friends, I am so happy to be able to tell you I had a much better day today emotionally. I feel happy, content and very blessed. Thank you all for such beautiful kind comments. You are all so wonderful and encouraging. My heart is full of thanks for how much you all care.....I honestly love all of you who responded to my pity party with so much love and understanding. Thank you all so much....

It was very cold here today, we had flurries off and on all day and again the wind was very cold. I was so pleased sitting beside my fire enjoying all my sports especially The President's Cup. Soooooo love my golf.....Go USA! Honestly guys at one time today I was going from golf to football to baseball while watching a curling bonspiel on my computer. So glad I have no arthritis in my thumb, the way I was changing channels....LOL

One of my sweet neighbours brought me a beautiful plate of turkey dinner and pumpkin pie with whip cream for dessert. How wonderful was that? It was the same neighbour I had babysat for a couple of weeks ago, she called and invited me for dinner but I told her I wasn't feeling well but thanked her for the invitation....a few hours later the door bell rang and there she was, my eyes filled with tears at her thoughtfulness. Another one of my many blessings.

I hope you all had as pleasant a day and to all my Canadian friends, Happy Thanksgiving, I hope you are surrounded by the love of family and friends and are full of turkey and stuffing. Oh my supper was delicious as I know yours will be.

Good Night my friends and God Bless.......:-) Hugs

I am so glad you are feeling better today, Bernie, my heart went out to you when I read about your Dr's visit. It's a pain in the neck when the emotions get in the way, isn't it?!?! By the way - down here we don't call having feelings a "pity party" we call that "just bein' a girl" :-)!!!!*giggle* So happy that you have such wonderful neighbors. I must admit, when you said you were having Turkey and Pumpkin Pie I was scratching my head - then I remembered that you are in Canada. It truly is a day of thanksgiving when sharing and caring take place.
Happy Thanksgiving my friend - Hope you have an even better day tomorrow.
Huggz

Good morning Bernie...It is so easy to care and love you Bernie, what's not easy is not living close enough to do more. At least your pity parties are short and sweet! Your outlook on life and how you deal with things has always been one to admire.

Glad you have nice neighbors to gift you with the Thanksgiving meal. I'm looking forward to ours in November.

So, emotionally you are better, but I'm wondering about the physical reactions to the medication. I hope all the golf, football and curling keeps your mind off not feeling well.

Stay warm and take care Bernie!

Luv and Smiles,
Wanda

So happy to hear you are feeling better, both physically and emotionally. I think when our spirit is in a good place it really does help us physically too. And your spirit is in a very good place!

And I'm happy to hear that your neighbor thought to bring you a Thanksgiving dinner! Nothing better than good a good meal, and especially when it's brought to you in the spirit of 'returning in kind' your kindness to them. A beautiful circle of generous hearts.

And I'm glad you are getting to enjoy your beloved sports!
I love hearing that you have a good day!
'Hope you enjoy another good one!
Love to you!, Eileen

I love neighbors like that. Jake and I always try to be good neighbors. How thoughtful that was Bernie! I'm so happy that you were able to have a Thanksgiving dinner. That warms my heart. I only wish you had someone there to share it with you. And I do hope that you are starting to feel better. A little maybe?
It was a beautiful day here, sunny and in the low sixties. Perfect day!
Happy Thanksgiving to you Bernie!

Happy Thanksgiving - belatedly. I'm glad you enjoyed a proper meal at the hands of a good neighbor. I KNEW you celebrated before us, but guess I never thought about what a typical thanksgiving meal included in Canada!

My husband really enjoyed seeing USA win the President's Cup! I don't watch sports as avidly as you...but I'm glad you enjoy them like you do - especially these times when you're taking it easy to cooperate with the antibiotics, etc.!

Your example of cheerfulness is one I want to emulate. When I feel a little discouraged, I just think, "What would BERNIE do?"

Blessings on your evening and tomorrow, and the NEXT day.

I am so ready for Thanksgiving and all the wonderful food and thanks, so I am glad that you had it and that someone was thoughtful enough to bring dinner to you.

Bernie, there is always an extra setting (for Jesus who can come in the guise of anyone) at our table at Thanksgiving, so you want to come?

blessings and hugs,

marcy

Oh Rebecca you are too kind, and yes I loved the golf today, it was a very cold day here today so it was nice to watch so many favorite sporting events....am going to try to get a walk in tomorrow for some fresh air.....I think our Thanksgiving is similar to yours, turkey, stuffing and all the fixings and of course football all day on TV....enjoy it almost as much as Christmas....:-) Hugs

Bernie said...

Hi Marcy, I have been writing down my blessings this year and already have almost 3 full pages, so much to be thankful for.
Include me in your thanksgiving prayer as you sit around the table and I will be ever so grateful.
You are so kind....how is your friend (Cheryl) doing? I was thinking of her this thanksgiving weekend and how strong she is and I prayed she will enjoy her thanksgiving as well.
Love you.....:-) Hugs

What a wonderful idea...to write down blessings. I'm glad that you put that in your comment. That helps me so much. I tend to not give God the glory for the great things He has done and will continue to do for me.
I love you, Bernie. For someone who is such a long distance from me, I feel very close to you....
Jackie

Well we certainly have a lot to be thankful for Dear Bernie. To all your friends, family, neighbors and bloging friends, you are indeed a gift sparking love and gratitude.

Is October 12th the USA Columbus Day, the date for your Thanksgiving? I was not aware that your holiday came this early in the fall. So pleased you had a wonderful dinner.

A most beautiful sentiment expressed in the posted poem. Thank you - it does bear a message we are to deeply appreciate. Warm HUGS.

Much love, Rose Marie
