A Lovely Fall Day

Hello my friends, I had another lovely day today. My day started slowly as usual, I enjoyed my coffee while reading the morning newspaper, then spent a while on my computer. It was cool and frosty this morning but had turned quite nice by afternoon.

My friend called me as he had some business to attend to in Red Deer and asked if I would like to go for a drive, I wanted to get out for a while and he wanted some company so it worked out quite nice for both of us. Now Red Deer is about an hour and a half south west of Edmonton, just a nice drive. We drove there on the main highway but on the way home he took the old roads so we could see see some Fall colors. They were really nice, but I miss the crimson red's of home. The trees here are mostly, birch, evergreen and Pine. I forgot my camera.....I just have to keep it near the front door so that I see it when I go out. One of my girlfriend's daughter works at Zeller's in Red Deer so I stopped in to say hello just in case she was working. She was and took her break so we could have a coffee together. It was great seeing her, I love the young people, they are so full of plans and excited for life.

My friend and I went to the Olive Garden for dinner, honestly I think they make the best pasta in the world. As usual we had to wait about half an hour for a table, they are always so busy....but the food was worth it.

My friend Diana's husband is not well and is in hospital. Please remember him and her family in your prayers tonight. I am sure most of you know Di as she is part of our wonderful village and we all love her, right now she needs us. So let's do it again everyone, let's pray Jake back to good health.

Good Night and God Bless ......and many, many hugs.......:-)

if i had a time machine, I would travel back and wish for your day... :) for some reason, you are the personality of which one would feel the urge to divulge to... what a blessing

I haven't been to Olive Garden for a very long time. They sort of died out around here although I guess there are still some here and there.

Good morning Bernie,
Your chauffeured drive to Red Deer was such a pleasant way to spend the day. We had a misty rain here, but I managed a walk with an umbrella of course. I had a similar Italian meal too yesterday of spaghetti with avocado and bacon, although no Olive Garden visit, I had to fix it myself. We will have leftovers today most likely!

Dylan stayed all night and Alivia will be here later this afternoon, so that means cookies or brownies!

Diana is in my thoughts and prayers this morning too...hope for good news from her today!

Luv and Smiles,
Wanda

Good Morning Wanda, I am worried about Diana, her e-mail yesterday is full of concern and worry, she is such a hard worker and my heart is heavy with what she is going through right now.
I did have a great day yesterday as I love being the passenger and just enjoying the drive.
It has turned really cold here today, it's the wind that is so cold really.
How nice that Dylan stayed over and Miss Alivia arriving today, what a wonderful weekend you are having.....Hugs to Alivia....:-)

You know Bernie, I started to read your post and thought " I sure hope she remembered her camera!". I just keep mine in my purse most of the time anymore. I can't trust my memory.
We still don't know much of anything with Jake yet. And I appreciate everyone's prayer's. This is the longest my husband has ever been in the hospital, and we don't even know why yet. Bless you Bernie and everyone else for your prayers. Love Di

I'm just learning the news of Jake's hospitalization from you, Bernie. I've been off my computer for a few days. I'll certainly be thinking of Di and her Family. Enjoy your fall colors. Snow in my world!

Trees down here have almost every color imaginable. I think it is the combination that makes the picture so lovely! (Just like in personalities/people...)

I liked your comment about young people "so full of plans and excited for life." I think those are qualities we should carry into our mature years. They're attractive traits, aren't they?

Your day and description of it were interesting. It's always fun to be "with" you, Bernie!

Will do on the prayer line.
We woke up to four inches of snow this morning! (I am posting about it tomorrow!)...but it melted almost all away by 6pm tonight.
Wow. I am NOT ready for white snow until May, but there is nothing I can do about it, is there? It was pretty, though, I have to admit that.
I hope you are getting the rest you need to make sure your infection is going away...I am glad you had a nice day with friends. You so deserve that!

Hi Janine, I am sorry, I thought I had told you it was Di's husband. She is so sweet and I am a bit worried for her. She will appreciate your prayers for sure.
How are you?
Oh I did have a great day yesterday, just relaxed today and watched my sports....very relaxing.
Stay well my friend, luv ya..Hugs

Hi Jackie, I only wanted everyone to pray for Jake and Di is okay with that. She uses her humor to cover her worries and I love her for her strength.
Yes, I loved my drive yesterday and I always love the Olive Garden. I always go there when someone ask me where I would like to go.....Luv ya.....:-) Hugs

Hi Bernie
My hubby and I ate at Olive Garden last week and loved it!

So glad you had such a nice outing with your friend ...the fall colors must have been nice but I know what you mean about missing the crimson reds ...we don't have those vibrant colors here either.

Hope you had a good sunday ... my whole weekend was wonderful.
Jake is doing so much better.

I hope your friend Diana's husband will be ok.

Well, I have to visit a few more blogs before I settle in to watch a favorite show with hubby,

Hugs to you my freind!

Margie:)
