The Prodigal Camera Has Returned

Hello everyone, hope you all had day full of love and productivity. Our weather was warm and windy today but we also had lots of rain.....the farmers are happy.

The good news is my girlfriend called me this morning and she has found my camera. She said she took her lawn chair out of her car trunk last night and when she opened it, there was my camera....how great is that. I always felt if was close by and I would find it, I had thought it may be in her trunk just not inside her lawn chair. Anyway we have to figure out a way for me to get it before I go on vacation, she lives about 50 miles from me but I'm sure we will work something out. Great news and saves me a bunch of money....Yeah!

I had a busy day today, I had to go and redo my will, I do this every 5 years. I wanted to be able to take it home to my brother who is my executor. So that is finished for the next five years.

I then had a doctor's appointment and he removed 3 moles. He had been bugging me for two months now to do it so today was the day. Two of them are fine, can't feel a thing but there is one where he had cut quite deep and it is sore tonight. The freezing is out now and he told me I would be a bit sore and also bruised for a week. Yuk, I knew there was a reason I didn't want this procedure. My b/p was fantastic, and my cholesterol numbers were great and my sugar is so good we are going from two injections a day to only one (at night) until the end of July, he will then have me retested to see how the sugar numbers are. He is really pleased with my weight and doesn't think it necessary for me to loose anymore when I said I wanted to loose 5 more pounds. This will be hard to do when I am on vacation anyway. See, this loss of weight and exercise is really working for me. I am so thankful.

When I left the doctor's office I went to my insurance company and they were really nice and encouraging. I didn't know but Alberta has a special fund (we pay for when we renew our licenses) that covers hit and runs. This will not be going through my insurance policy and I don't have to pay any deductible.....all good news today my friends. It will be a while before my little car is fixed as I am going on vacation next week, it probably won't be until September as I have to wait until an insurance adjuster looks at it. I feel very confident that all will work out well. It always does thankfully.

I then left there and went to Curves, I felt so much better after my work out, my arm didn't hurt at all, I think it still must of been frozen. When I got home, I made my bed up fresh and did laundry, ironed, folded and put clothes away, tidied my house, put dishwasher through and dishes away. Only spent about 10 minutes outside today on my flowers, just picked dead heads and weeds, nothing needed water because of the rain.

I am in bed, using my laptop and its only 9 o'clock. I am tired though I don't really know why but I have another busy day tomorrow so want to go to sleep early tonight. 8 o'clock in the morning comes early especially for me. I am just getting my hair cut, going to Curves then into Edmonton for an Cat scan. Its just another day I have to dress up and go out to tie up some loose ends. (I'd prefer a day in my sweats lazing right now) So happy my feet and legs are so well though and that I can keep all my commitments. Life is good!

I want to thank Silver for the Bella Sinclair Award she presented me today. As you know I love this award and am very proud that I received it from Annette, and now Silver. Thank you Silver, it is lovely to be recognized twice for an award I truly admire and respect so very much.

Am off to read my favorite blogs and comments....Good Night my friends and God Bless......:-) Hugs

Hi Bernie. It seems like forevvver since I've been to your blog...and a lot has happened.
First, congratulations for the Sinclair Award!! You have such a sweet spirit...and I'm glad that you received the award.
I started reading your blogs backwards, so when I read about the insurance company and your car, I had to stop and scroll down and start where I left off before coming to N.C. (I'm still here, but I don't care if it takes 2 hours to post one person on dial up, I'm posting, doggone it!! :))
I'm sorry that your car was hit...and that the person didn't have the respect and integrity to own up to it. I am glad that things are working out with your car. I'm very proud of your progress with Curves. If it makes you feel good ...and I know that it does, it is exactly what you need to be doing. I hope that you feel better soon after your mole removals. I'm thinking of you regarding those. Please, keep me updated on any and all of your tests. I respect you very very much. I know that your favorite patient's wife is more than appreciative of you. You are an angel. I thank you for commenting on my blog today. It made me happy to pull it up and see a comment from you. Take care of you. Hugs and smiles from Jackie (still in N.C.).... :)))

Bernie, your camera!! I'm very happy for you!
And all good news on the insurance!
But most especially good news from the doctor!!
Kudos, Bernie! It's all due to your hard work (and hard workouts) and commitment to diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle.
Wonderful, Bernie!
And I'll say a prayer that the arm heals quickly so you can really enjoy your family visit.
Take care.
All the best,
Eileen

So gladdened to hear all your GOOD NEWS! Hurray on all counts. Health is so much more important than material things anyway, so to read you have got such good results lately is very heartening.
The chap who's car I waited on when it got damaged, has rung me to thank me, as he felt he was too shocked at the time to thank me properly. Thanks are important too, so I am so glad he did.
Hope you are sleeping deep and well, as I write this.
Love and hugs to you.

Hi Bernie :-) It was so calming to read about how your day went today :-) I am very very happy that you got your camera back(almost) and you don't have to pay for the dent either. Good things do happen to wonderful people :) Do make use of ice-packs if that is something you can, to ease the pain from the mole extraction. I'm beginning to love exercising too. From the feel good benefits and from reading how much it helped you :-)

Have a brilliant day ahead :)

Oh, Bernie - I've been "parked" on your site so long! My little Grand Daughter called and talked for a l-o-n-g time. Now Pop Pop is talking to her brother, so I can write to you. First, Hurray for finding the camera! That's great news right before your vacation. The very best news, though, is your DR's report. I have a feeling all your hard work at Curves and with your diet is really paying off. You'll be in great shape to visit your Family. Enjoy the summer, Bernie. It sounds as though you're making every minute count.

Barb you can park on my site as long as you want. I was really happy to have my camera found and even happier about my test results. Enjoy your grandchildren my friend......:-) Hugs
