Pass the Wine Please.........Now

Hello my friends, are you still there? I have been having a horrible time with blogger these past few days, it has not allowed me to post, open other blogs or even comment.....sometimes it allows me to comment but not often. I have missed you all so much and each night I do a post only to be told it can't be processed. I had more luck earlier with blogger so I am trying again.

I really enjoyed Halloween this weekend, the children were so cute, they were little bees, princesses, frogs, ballerinas and even Michael Jackson. This year I had just over 30 at my door....there was a time I would get well over a hundred but I think door to door trick or treating is going in the direction of the malls and house parties. I want whatever is safe for the little ones but I will miss the tradition.

Was back at my course today, now this is why I need the wine! All 5 patients had changed their minds during the week and have now decided to get the H1N1 shot. Can you believe it? Danielle is able to get the vaccine and will do their injections next week. They wanted their care givers to receive it as well but she was only able to guarantee them right now......now we did have a good session today. It was very informative and I know that everyone enjoyed it as I honestly could see the hope in their eyes as the afternoon progressed. I had taken an extra coffee pot I had for Danielle to keep in her office but someone ask for a cup of coffee so after we finished Danielle, myself and two others sat and chatted as we enjoyed our coffee. Not as good as Tim's but it was good. This group is going to be a challenge but already I am enjoying them, I love to see the smiles on their faces when they make a connection with something we either say or show them.

I arrived home around supper time and they came in this evening and installed my curtains. These are not very good pictures but I really am pleased with them. I will rearrange pictures tomorrow so that I have one with more pink hanging above my fireplace.

It will take me a few days to catch up with all of your posts but I am really looking forward to it. I think I am addicted to blogging and went through withdrawal these past few days.......I missed you all so much.

Good Night and God Bless.........many, many hugs.......:-)

Hi Bernie, sorry about the trouble with blogger, it is not just you. I don't know if you have your internet through shaw. if you do we have to trade in our modem as in two weeks they will be out of date. so you just call shaw and they will mail you out a new one! I am hoping that will fix the problem....your curtains are beautiful. I love your fireplace, your place is what I imagined it would be beautiful. Be well!

Oh the curtains look fab, and the whole room so cosy... what a beautiful welcoming fire in the grate. I hope you get years and years of enjoyment from your beautiful soft furnishings.
Glad Blogger is back obeying your commands.
Many thanks for your visits and comments.
Love Granny

I also have had this problem before. I have found that if you switch everything off and leave for a few hours and re boot the computer it usually behaves normally again. The first time it happened I thought I'd lost my blog!
Not sure if it is a Blogger problem...... I think so.

Wondered where you had gone...that explains it. Glad you're back!

The curtains are darling. The fireplace burning and the low light are offer a homey refuge. Very nice! Cathy

What beautiful pictures! Oh "the fire is so delighful"! Your room looks very inviting. Wish I could drop in!

I, too, have been having some blogging troubles. So (in a way) it's good to know others have too.... Maybe they're over - until the next time.

"Good morning to you, Good morning to you, Good morning Dear Bernie, Good morning to you."

Hope you didn't sing that off key now Bernie! That was to celebrate finding a posting this morning!

Your livingroom with those new curtains was worth waiting for, they are beautiful, such a warm cozy room for you to have that glass of wine in. We haven't yet had a fire in our fireplace, won't be long though.

Blogger won't let me access Jerelene's blog and a few others (not in the village) that I visit.

I know you get so much in return from volunteering, including a little stress now and then, from concern for their well being, hope all goes smooth and at the end of the day you can relax in your cheerful room.

Luv and Smiles,
Wanda

First, I'm glad your group is going well so far. It must be very rewarding.

Second, your home looks lovely! The new curtains are beautiful and your home looks so warm and inviting with the fire glowing! I so would love to be there in that room!

And, last, Blogger has been driving me up the wall too! Ever since I was away, I was blaming it on a bad connection and/or Ray's computer, but I've still been having problems accessing blogs and trying to comment since I've been back! I wish they'd clear up these glitches!

I'm glad you enjoyed Halloween too, we didn't have too many kids either, which surprised me, I thought being it wasn't a school day we'd get lots of visitors to the door, but we have tons and tons of candy left over!

Have a good day, Bernie!
It was nice to see a post from you and I hope Blogger behaves from now on!
Love to you!,
Eileen

Wow, Bernie, that looks like a photo out of a magazine...and what a cozy comfy place to sit during your cold cold winters!

Good Morning Bernie,
Oh I love your curtains! And am so happy that you are pleased with them, although I would have made them for you if I were there!

They do make the room look so cozy and inviting. It also makes me realize that my son never did bring the wood for the fireplace! So I guess that I will now move him to the bottom of my favorite child list today!

Hope you start having better luck with blogger, it can be fickle!

I was so worried about you, Bernie!!! I am so glad it was Blogger that was sick and not YOU! :-} Isn't it frustrating when it won't let you post? I had that once and it also did it once when I tried to post my photos! I ended up paying for more space from a prompt from them and it worked better after that.
Your house looks gorgeous! So cozy and inviting...that fireplace blazing makes me want to sit right down there with a good book (and maybe some wine!ha) beside you and get caught up with things!

I guess they just needed a few days to process before deciding they wanted the H1N1 shot!! AMazing huh?

And your curtains around the cozy fire and all warming a lovely room look so beautiful. I would love to have some "Winter-Wine" with you by the fire. There is so much we could say. :-)

Honey I missed you. Glad it was no more serious, but to us addicted bloggers that is bad. I have some problems too, but hope they will just work themselves out. I have noticed lots of folks have the same type problems. Your apartment looks so warm and toasty. Glad your Halloween was nice.

Bernie, I have also had trouble with Blogger. I thought it was the new laptop but discovered that was a completely different problem. It goes back to the shop tomorrow. Fortunately I still have the old one. So it turned out a lot of my hassle was with Blogger. People will think I've gone AWOL.
Loved the curtains and the cosy look of your room. No wonder you're pleased. Going to try and get some more comments in before I get thrown off. Hugs for you

That fire is just what I could do with here! Sadly, there is no fireplace, as the heating uses a warm air system. There is nothing to beat real flames flickering on a chilly evening. You have a lovey, cozy looking room, complete with posh curtains! :)

Hi Bernie,
I've been missing you!! I tried to write blogger about the problem..but I can't get an e-mail to write to...it's like there isn't an actual person to complain too. Very aggrivating. I couldn't get on Wanda's page last night. And so I tried her's and your's today and was able to get through. Have you tried taking a different route. Like, maybe just googling jerelene's journal and trying to access it that way? I'm sorry I'm no help...I've been asking everyone what to do and no one seems to know either..I do miss you terribly!
I LOVE, LOVE your curtains!! What color are your walls and I would love to see that picture over the fireplace close up :) Your living room looks so cozy. I wish I could come and sit and visit and have a cup of coffee with you :)
I'll e-mail you about pen-paling this time..I'll try to do it tonight..so watch for my e-mail :)
Love you Bernie.....hugs, Jerelene

Hi Jerelene, I got your e-mail thanks.....and thank you for your kind words, I do love my curtains. I will take another picture of the one over the fireplace so you can see it, I changed them around today. My walls are kind of a cream color with the deep green accent wall....but I do want to repaint in the Spring.
Sorry your not feeling well...hugs to Sam......:-) Hugs

I have been away from blogging for awhile and am catching up on some posts. I work with several groups as well. Just last week I also had a break through and began loving the group. Each time it takes a bit of time to adjust to different personalities and I think I won't like this group as well and then half way into it, I start liking them and my attachment grows and then in a few weeks, I have to let them go again. Your home looks so cozy and warm--just like I would have imagined of you. Blessings on your weekend retreat.

I'm in the dark about what kind of volunteer work you do but it sounds very rewarding.

Your house looks so inviting. With the fireplace and a glass of wine--who wouldn't be happy there?

So sorry you are having trouble with your blogger. It is a world of its own isn't it? I am really enjoying it. Cheers.

Hi Brenda, great to hear from you. I am looking forward to the weekend, the girls I am going with I know very well and enjoy their company very much.
I am pleased with my curtains, I had to wait so long for them, but it was worth the wait.
Have a great weekend my friend...:-) Hugs

Bernie, I volunteer with patients who are chronically and terminally ill....it can be sad at times but it is always rewarding.
I do try and keep my home cosy for myself, family and friends and I have been blessed to enjoy a lovely home, well it is to me. Have a great weekend...:-) Hugs

Hi Bernie - I was wondering where you were! Your new curtains are lovely and the room looks cozy - just the place to sit and read on a cold winter's night! Glad your sessions are going well - people change their minds, don't they? You never can tell...
