A Taste of Louisana

Snow came far to early in Alberta

I was warm and cozy reading by the fire, my favorite place to be when it is cold outside and it is!

The doorbell rang and looked what I received......A parcel from Miz  Mollye

I was so excited, Mollye included everything. The small saucer and teapot was her mother in law's, can you see the snowman and the perfect book for especially for this time of year.

Can you see the Reindeer pin? So cute. Also included were Cajun Country Long Rice, Hot Sauce, Cajun Seasoning, Gumbo Mix and even a desert - Cobbler Mix. I wish I could pick out a favorite but I can't I love it all. Thank you Miss Mollye - thank you so very much,  you are truly a special friend.

It has been a couple of weeks since I have posted and so much has happened, I have been really busy but I think that is what this time of year is all about. Visits from family, friends, Christmas parties and one really special Christmas Tea.

I am just about ready for Christmas, and this year is going to be my best Christmas ever....it already has been a wonderful few weeks - our small town is brightly lit with Christmas lights, our church looks absolutely beautiful this Advent season with trees, boughs, wreaths and sparkling lights. I love Christmas!

I have a busy 3 weeks ahead of me, I don't know why but I couldn't seem to say no to anything this year and this Cinderella's dance card is full.......I am so blessed and every day I am so thankful. Ah life is good my friends. I am wishing you all a wonderful Christmas Season surrounded by family, friends and much love. Love  is all around us, we just have to reach out and touch it.

Hopefully I won't be away as long as I have been but I think you all know you are in my heart and prayers as I try and visit all of your blogs daily. Until next time God Bless and many, many hugs.......:-)

Sweetie,I can't believe I am first to leave you comments this time..I am sooo behind in my blog reading!LOL I am also very happy that you are having such a delightful holiday season. And what a generous and sweet friend you have to have sent you that wonderful gift.
Someone like you...as I am sitting here wrapped in the loving arms of your Snuggie!! We had 12 inches of snow overnight and are in the midst of a full blown blizzard here in the U.P.!! We have about 2 or 3 feet of snow on the ground now!
We just got back from babysitting my two grandkids (Nathan, 8 and Miranda 3) for 5 days...had so much fun! We made Xmas cookies with them and watched them decorate their tree.Unfortunately, none of my grandkids or children can be home for Xmas this year..but we saw them last week and hope to go south again for a week in late January to see our Kim, Nick and baby Nicholas...so that thought will sustain us over Christmas. I am sending you peace and love this holiday season, by friend!! xxoo

Hello Bernie - I'm glad to see a new post from you and even happier to know that you've been enjoying a wonderful Christmas season. It sure helps to have places to go to meet friends and share a few treats or just an hour of friendly conversation in this kind of weather. i haven't been blogging either - I have been concentrating on mailing away parcels and Christmas cards. Hope you enjoy every minute of Christmas - you deserve a happy holiday.

Hi Bernie!
What a lovely and thoughtful gift! I can imagine your excitement. I am so glad to hear that you are well and busy! You sure did get a LOT of snow!

We had three inches and everything closes. It's crazy. People are so different in the south.

Things have been rough here the last few weeks but I am slowly trying to get back into a routine.

Love Di ♥

Hi Bernie, in response to yours - on mine - I had to leave off the garters, they were far too tight. Still, it was nice while it lasted....grins. Our snow storm is due tomorrow, so they say. Stay warm, my friend.
