I Am Feeling Well

Hi Everyone,

Just a few lines tonight to say I am feeling so much better. It has been a rough few weeks. I will continue taking the B12 shots for a while longer and have my blood work done on a regular basis for a few months. We are hoping to boost my immune system and the good Lord willing we will. I want to feel 100% soon as my sister and her husband are interested in going on a cruise to Alaska with me, now that is something to really look forward to. It won't be until this Fall or next Spring but I know we can make it happen. It is something I have always wanted to do.

Our weather has been brutal. My niece lives in Calgary and they received 22 cms. of snow over night and today. In fact the highway was closed for the better part of the day due to heavy snowfall and many accidents. Here in Morinville it was cold, snow flurries this morning and rain off and on throughout the day. We may get snow tomorrow. When I look at all your pictures and see your flowers blooming and those beautiful lilac trees I am amazed as we are not near that stage yet. I am optimistic the growing season will arrive soon.

I am waiting for the handy man to replace 2 boards on my deck, it then needs to be painted and then I will put out my wicker furniture. I won't hang my baskets or plant any flowers until the first week in June at the earliest.....I am so looking forward to it.

Since I have been ill I have been trying to keep up with most of your blogs, one of my blogging friends has passed away, 2 babies have been born and so many are going through treatment. I think of each and every one of you every day and not a day goes by that I don't say a special prayer for all of you.

God Bless...........and many, many hugs :-)

  3. So glad you are feeling much better!! Thank you Lord! I feel the same way when I read other folks blogs and they are past the daffies and tulips and onto the lilacs already! We are about 2 weeks early with the green on the birch trees though! Normally in the past 10 years we didn't get the first tint of light green until Mother's Day. I know .... I was watching every year, lol!

    You take care!! Hugs!

  5. So pleased that you are getting better with the B12. I do hope your health continues to bound back.

Hoping you weather will improve soon. You have a very long Winter indeed. Hope the man comes soon to replace the boards on the decking. Just putting out the wicker would make you anticipate the good things to come.
Sending my prayers & love to you.

  19. This is such good news! I'm glad you have such a great thing to look forward to - that Alaskan cruise sounds intriguing.

Is this winter weather typical for you this time of year? I always get prematurely anxious for spring here. It still seems chilly here, but things ARE green and blooming...

A lot HAS happened under your watch. The cycle of life keeps on, doesn't it....Thank you for your prayers, thoughts, and insightful comments.

  20. I'm so sorry, Bernie, that you're still feeling poorly. Some people here have had colds that just won't go away and turn to pneumonia. It's always the end of the season bugs that are the worst.

    Love you, kid.

  21. and.. all goo things back to you,, get to feeling better..

  22. Oh Bernie I am happy to hear that you are gaining your strength back! Hopefully you'll be feeling 100% when spring finally arrives there. Maybe your summer will hang on a bit longer for you with the late start of spring.
A cruise to Alaska has always been one of my dreams too!
I've been too busy to blog lately. Maybe this weekend but Sarah is coming to spend the night. We are going to see "Furry Vengeance"! Can't wait. Love Di ♥

  23. Hi Bernie, So glad you're feeling better and at least dreaming about flowers and upcoming trips! Winter still has its hold on me, too! The mountains will get more snow this weekend. I'm in Denver right now, and I had to put some heat on this AM! (But, the sun is shining here in the city, so I'll go for a run.) Keep gaining strength day by day and boost your immune system. Are you able to get out to exercise a bit?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm glad you're feeling better, Bernie, and I pray that you continue to be on the mend.

And I agree with you about the blog world, so much going on with everyone. And when I can't get to blogs I feel so cut off, and I feel that the blog world has passed me by. It's a strange feeling.

I think about everyone too, and everyone is in my daily conversations. One of my 'face-to-face' friends just asked me about Jerelene because I haven't mentioned her lately, and I said she hasn't posted lately! But I did get a few emails from her.
So many bloggers have just become a natural part of my life.

The last thing I do before I fall asleep at night is to say prayers for all of you. So many good people, so many in need.

    Love to you,
    Eileen

SNOW??? Oh, my goodness, I had no idea you were having such cold weather. I don't know what the U.P. is getting since we are down in Florida with our grandson's birth..but here, tomorrow it is supposed to be in the 90's with high humidity. Whew...I'll be by the pool or under air conditioning...that is a bit too warm for me. But otherwise it has been gorgeous here...now we just have to get our grandson out of the NICU....he is doing better so keep those prayers coming.
