Life is Happening

Hello my friends, it has been a few days since I posted, I want you to know I am well, I have just been busy with life.....and enjoying every moment of it.

First I want to tell you all that I spoke with Mrs. Houle's niece on Friday morning and she seemed the lovely woman her Aunt had said she was. She had taken Friday off work and was spending the weekend with her. She told me her Aunt was no longer dizzy and was feeling quite well. I was so happy that she had her niece with and that she was better, I was able to enjoy my weekend with my friend.

We had a wonderful weekend, we shopped all day Friday, picked up one of our other friend's and went out for supper. We had gone to Costco to shop and I had stocked up on many things so it was near 10 before we got home and had everything put away. I now have enough non perishable items to last me until next Spring when we will make out next trip to Costco. Terry and her husband leave next month for Arizona and California for the winter.....they love it, golf almost every day and have many friends there and I miss her terribly when she is gone but am very happy for her and her husband that they get to spend the winter months in a warm climate.

Saturday morning we were up early, out for breakfast and off to do more shopping. Terry had to pick up many supplies for her husband's business. She was driving the truck this trip and we sure had a lot of laughs as she manipulated her way through the busy streets and parking lots of Edmonton.....I know I wouldn't want to have been driving. After shopping we picked up a bottle of wine, invited a friend over and the 3 of us watched a great Curling match and drank wine Saturday night. The fireplace was lovely the game was competitive and the company was wonderful. We were cheering for different teams so it made for a lot of fun.

Sunday morning we were up early again, Terry ate a piece of toast and had a yogurt then left for home.....I went to Mass. Honestly I was so tired after such a busy week that I slept off and on all day yesterday after church. I really needed the rest.

Today I had my hair trimmed, and then prepared for my course tomorrow. I had to read a book and do much paper work which took me most of the afternoon and evening. I have finished it and am well prepared for tomorrow's class.....I hope.

Our weather has been absolutely wonderful, sunny about 25 Fahrenheit today, it has been beautiful for the past few days. I am really enjoying this weather as one never knows when it will abruptly change here on the Prairie....life is so good right now everyone, I am very happy and contented.

I will try and catch up with all my favorite blogs in the next couple of days, I love hearing from all of you, you are the best.....Good Night and God Bless...:-) Hugs

I am glad Mrs. Houle's feeling better. I have dizzy spells to and they can be a real annoyance.

  2. I love Costco. Always spend way too much money. Good, though, for when I'm feeding the crowds as I will be again soon come December.

Sounded like you needed a nap. Aren't those just the best thing sometimes?

  3. Hi Bernie, so glad you had such a good weekend. I am glad Mrs. Houles niece stayed with her, I hate anyone being alone while they are not feeling well. Have a good day at your course. Be well.

  4. You certainly deserved a great weekend, Bernie, after your good deeds of last week! Glad you had fun and got to hang out with friends. Hope your team won the curling match but a little wine might have eased the pain if yours was the loser!

  8. Wonderful post! You do sound so contented! 'Does my heart good!

I was really happy to hear some good news on that poor woman and I'm so happy she has an advocate in her life. I don't have such a lonesome feeling towards her anymore, I hate thinking of someone like her out there on their own. We all need some kind of support system.

Your weekend sounded like a weekend I would have enjoyed too!
    Have a great week, Bernie!
'So good to hear from you!
    Love to you!, Eileen

  13. Glad you shopped until you dropped, Bernie. ha
I used to have no problem with shopping all day long but now after a few hours my back and feet hurt. A sure sign of aging. LOL
Isn't it fun, though...to spend the day with friends, food and laughter? It really refreshes one's spirit.
I am glad that lady's niece now knows about her Aunt's health problems and now you can rest and not worry about her anymore. Her niece will take care of her now I am sure.
We have had exceptionally nice weather here...NO SNOW...which is shocking for the end of November. The deer hunters here are wishing for snow to track the deer, but I am thrilled not to have it yet. I will be starting Christmas shopping for my grandkids this week because they are coming here for Thanksgiving and I like to have them all wrapped and ready for them to take back with them.
    Take Care Bernie, love you!
P.S. expect a surprise in the mail...it is on its way to you!

  14. Good evening Bernie,
I missed your post this morning, I was up and out very early...like you and Terry I shopped almost all day, stocking up the pantry and freezers for winter at both Meijers and Costco and Like Terry I was driving a truck too!

I knew you were going to be busy with Terry over the weekend and wouldn't be posting. Everytime I sat down to start one, I'd get phone calls or company, mostly it was family or grandchildren keeping me occupied.

It was good to hear Mrs Houle's niece came to be with her and that you had an enjoyable Saturday with friends and a relaxing Sunday to yourself. No one could ask for more! Hope the rest of your week is good Bernie. You so deserve your contentment!

    Luv and Smiles,
    Wanda

That left your mind free to enjoy the time with your friend. It ALL sounded like so much fun. (You needed to store up a lot of good times since she'll be away all winter!) No wonder you were exhausted and able to "sleep it off" Sunday afternoon!

We had some beautiful weather over the weekend, too. And it's already Wednesday - WET Wednesday! Where has the week gone?
