What I am Thankful For This Thanksgiving

Hello my friends, there are some e-mails that are so worth sharing and in my opinion this is one of them especially during our Thanksgiving.

What I Am Thankful for This Thanksgiving
For the teenager who is not doing dishes
but is watching TV,
because that means he is at home
and not on the streets.
For the taxes I pay,
because it means that I am employed.
For the mess to clean after a party,
because it means that I have been surrounded by friends.
For the clothes that fit a little too snug,
because it means I have enough to eat.
For my shadow that watches me work,
because it means I am out in the sunshine.
For a lawn that needs mowing,
windows that need cleaning,
and gutters that need fixing,
because it means I have a home.
For all the complaining I hear about the government,
because it means that we have freedom of speech.
For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot,
because it means I am capable of walking,
and that I have been blessed with transportation.
For my huge heating bill,
because it means I am warm.
For the lady behind me in my place of worship
when she sings off key,
because it means that I can hear.
For the pile of laundry and ironing,
because it means I have clothes to wear.
For weariness and aching muscles
at the end of the day,
because it means I have been capable of working hard.
For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours,
because it means that I am alive.
and finally....
For too much e-mail,
because it means I have friends who are thinking of me.

God Bless and many, many hugs...........:-)

Hi Bernie,
Happy Thanksgiving. That is what Thanksgiving is all about-Giving Thanks for what we have in our lives and friends to share it all with.
I haven't been here for awhile, I haven't been blogging because I had foot surgery(bunions), so I am back for a while until I do the other one.
Your blog is so pretty.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
I hope you are enjoying your day.

Hi Bernie, This is you to a tee! I like that what we could grumble about can also be turned to the positive. As my husband says, "Life can sometimes be difficult, but it's better than the alternative!"

Happy Thanksgiving to you, Bernie. I know you guys in Canada get yours a month earlier than those of us south of you. Hope you had a great day.

This is a good message Bernie. I'm thankful tonight that there are two beautiful days for harvest. We still have 75 acres of barley to combine. Thanks for your kind comments.

What a perfect list of Thanksgiving! Hope you enjoyed the day with family and friends.
At the moment, I'm watching the Chilean miners get rescued. Another wonder and reason to be thankful. Much of the world is bonding as we speak.

I still have a roof over my head, food to eat, and a vehicle to drive which is more than a lot of people can say. Guess I should be more thankful as well.

Hello Bernie
Loved your list - lots to think about there.
I'm slowing catching up on the daily lives and thoughts of people I mised during our 7 weeks away. Thanks for your recent comment on the Deb Ball - we all had similar thoughts that evening - hoping things will be good for the young ones in years to come.
I do hope all is well with you and you are enjoying the change in seasons.......we had glorious weather during the few days we had in Calgary
Take care
Cathy

I've received this email several times, but it's so good, I always read it thoroughly - never tire of it!

(By the way, yes, my job is safe...TODAY! It's a deplorable situation I find myself in...through no fault of my own...like most huge companies, the postal service is downsizing, but they're not offering incentives to retire...so they're implementing new "policies" that will ensure some of us with lots of seniority will leave...one way or another. I'll be posting about it very soon.)

Have a wonderful autumn week!

I love this post! I remember my father talking about his illness ((NONsmokers lung cancer)) as if he was removed and how everyone at the "Center" was so sick and "Some of them" really have it tough.

AND your list of Thanks giving. . .It's awesome!!!!

You have a beutiful blog. AlSO, I LOVE your candle. It's just beautiful! I have two buttons on my blog. My first award and an Lung Cancer Allance button that is the most important in my eyes. I tried to copy your candle but couldn't get it.

I pray you will Stay Healthy and Strong!
