Feeling Better

Hello my friends, I am so happy to be able to say I am feeling better. My temperature broke early this evening and I had a lovely bubble bath and managed to have a bowl of soup. It will take a couple of more days before I have all my energy back but compared to the last couple of days I am not complaining. I have to take the antibiotics for another 5 days but so far I have had no side effects. All is good.

It is still cold here in Alberta but it is suppose to really warm up by Friday. That will be so nice and quite a change. Most of us are used to the cold weather that Alberta has each winter but this year the cold and snow hit early, fast and furious. It does make for a long winter and interferes with plans especially if one needs to drive on the highways.

Thank you all for your good wishes, I so appreciate them. Now if I had waited just one more day you wouldn't of had to hear me complain at all. Let's hope this will be the last of colds and flu's for me this winter. I definitely need a break.

I hope you all are doing well and that no cold bugs are lurking about your homes or work place. Love you all.

Good Night and God Bless..........many, many hugs:-)

Bernie - You and I are both up past our bedtime! Glad you're feeling better. Now that you've had a New Year's bug, I hope the rest of 2010 is healthy for you. We're supposed to get more snow and bitter cold weather in the next couple days here in the Mts. We're under a Winter Storm Warning because of snow and blowing making the wind chill severe. I'm good with the snow but wouldn't mind the temps staying above the teens.

Dear Sweet Bernie,
I am so very sorry that I did not even know you were sick. I have tried to get over here to see you and for some reason I could not get in. My blogger is all messed up and my post thing doesn't have check spelling any more.....and to try and find an answer is like flying into a black hole. any who, what is important is that you are
feeling better. i will say an extra prayer for you.
thank you so very much for all the sweet comments you have left on my blog....you are a joy and you are loved
angel hugs

Hi Bernie, I've been enjoying your footprints in my comments box over the past weeks. I've been remiss in returning the visits, but I do think of you as we share our Alberta weather experiences!

Sorry to hear you were under the weather --- praying for speedy recovery and strengthening of every cell of your being! Blessings!

I am sooo glad that you are feeling better Bernie! It isn't over for us here yet. I am going to call the doctor for Katie today. I am sick of everyone being sick! Oh well I guess it's just part of the season. But it is good news that you are better. The photo of you at the top of your post shows that very well!

Good morning Bernie...Happy to hear you're on the mend. No "bugs" here in the house or real ones outside either, it's cold. I think your artic air is headed our way...heavy snow is predicted for Thursday night!
I'm headed out for a walk now...you wouldn't believe what all I'm putting on, I'm going into the woods...prepared and protected!
Enjoy your day,

Hi Bernie,
Your picture says it all. Jumping for Joy that you are feeling better.
School has started. Since I sub, I just need to wait for the calls to come in. I already have some jobs lined up for next week. Soon, I will start to get those 6:00 a.m. calls.
Take care and keep warm.

Hi Debbie, yes it is good to feel better, I seem to catch anything going around.
Blogger has been giving so many people a hard time lately. It is almost impossible to reach their administration, I think I reached them once in the year I have been blogging.
I think of you every day and hope you are doing well my friend, always in my heart and prayers...

Gail, the head cold is the worse, how is your throat? Stay in by the fire and keep warm......:-) Hugs

My goodness, Bernie, you look very lithe and spirited. Having a cold must have done wonders for you... grins. Seriously, I am very pleased you feel better. Having a cold is a miserable experience ... if it happens to me I feel very sorry for myself. Have a good rest of the year... that's an order. HUGS

Bernie said...

Hi Val, I wished I looked so good....grins and yes I did have a pity party. I went one day and only managed to swallow one glass of juice.....I don't ever remember a day with no food....which in all honesty wasn't bad for the weight but not good for diabetics, really threw my sugars off.
That's it for me for this year, I am determined to have a healthier year as this catching everything is getting embarassing....take care Val and stay warm....:-) Hugs

Bernie, please rest all you can. Stay burried under warm and comfortable blankets and listen to calming music with ear phones plugged in, if possible. It will take your mind away from the discomfort and heal you even faster. I am doing good and it's warm enough here. Winters don't feel like winters! Stay warm. Loads of love :-)

Liz, so glad you are getting an extra day inside where it is warm, it has to break sometime..:-) Hugs

So glad to hear that you are on the mend, Bernie!

No one here has been sick (knock wood!), but every year Jayden has been sick on his birthday, one year a virus/flu bug ran through the whole house, I think that was his first birthday, (his birthday is January 31 and we weren't able to celebrate it until February 11!). So we'll see how his birthday goes this year.

Take care of yourself, you have been in my thoughts and prayers.
Love to you,
Eileen

Good, good, good. I hoped that picture meant you are better. I don't have any bugs just a lot of sneezing in the morning. I think I am allergic to the ink in the newspaper. After I finish the puzzle I stop sneezing. Maybe I better just copy them and get rid of the printer's ink. Keep on improving. We are expecting a big snow storm early a.m. tomorrow.

Eileen, thank you for your kind words, I am feeling much better. Let's pray Jayden doesn't get ill before his birthday, the cold/flu bug is really going around now, I had it in November but not as bad as this.
How is your weather sweetie, was -27 this morning but is going up to plus 2 on the weekend, am so looking forward to going outside and getting some fresh air...big hugs to Jayden & Mia......:-0 Hugs

Bernie...I'm so sorry that you were sick. A temperature makes one feel miserable....aching all over...and just over all feeling 'yucky'...

Soooo glad to hear you are getting better...stay on the meds. even when you feel better. Many people don't take the whole Rx and end up getting it back.
We are cold here, but not as bad as some places south of us. We are also not getting the snow that many, many people have gotten this week.
We wanted to go and visit my daughter in Kenosha, Wisconsin, but the weather report does not look good for the weekend. Again. We were going to go last weekend, and cancelled then too. Not worth getting hurt on the highways...if we are patient, we will hit a weekend where we can go without snow, I hope.
I hope your New Year improves and you can get back to routine.
I started exercising on a treadmill at our local community building which is right up the street and these old bones (plus my fibromyalagia) are protesting! But if I can just take my Ibuprofen and keep at it, I hope to get past this sore stage. It does give me more energy and forces me to go outside everyday...otherwise I have a tendency when it is this cold to stay indoors all the time. :-}
Hang in there, snuggle up by the fire, keep up with your fluids and know that the warmth of all your blogger friends are enveloping you with one gigantic hug (I know I certainly am!)
Luv to you....
