Okay So I'm Boring.....Or Just Tired

Hello my blogging friends, I know most of you are preparing for your July Fourth weekend. I wish you all a wonderful time with your friends and families, and may you all have the best weather ever!

I had a very quiet day today, did my 30 minute work out at Curves and watched Wimbledon Tennis on TV. I did manage to water my plants and flowers, didn't have many weeds but pulled the ones that were there as well as picked the dead heads from my hanging baskets. Now I am not boasting but I think I have the most gorgeous hanging baskets I have ever seen....well maybe I am boasting but I am getting so much pleasure watching them grow and the fragrance is lovely.

I have been busy these past 2 weeks, and I am going out with friends to a house party tomorrow night. It's similar to what I held here on July 1st, only on a larger scale. There were only 5 of us at my place, tomorrow there will be 20 of us. We will bring our own meat to BBQ and whatever we want to drink. The party is in the City and I know I will never find the house so I am meeting a friend and her husband at a place I know and drive with them from there. I was really tired today and could of slept very easily, and if one of my old friends were not moving away on Sunday I think I would pass on going out again tomorrow. I know I would regret not saying good bye to her so I'll bite the bullet, and catch up with sleep on Sunday.

Still no word on my camera, looks like I will have to purchase one when I go home in a couple of weeks. Like Wanda says perhaps someone who needs a camera more than I do has it and if they do I hope they enjoy it. It has been good to me for more than 5 years now.

My favorite patients wife called me today, I wasn't able to meet her but I gave her names and phone numbers of two really wonderful grief counsellors. We are going to meet for coffee after I get back from NB. Next week is totally booked with appointments for me in fact my calendar is full. Just a couple of appointments are personal like getting my hair cut and a facial/pedicure the others are with doctors and lawyers.....sounds like a Waylon Jennings song I know but its true.

Oh Eileen, I thought of you today when I watched Sarah Palin on TV, did you see her?
She is really attractive and I think she in her own way means well.

I am off to read blogs and comments everyone.....Good Night and God Bless
...:-) Double Hugs to You All

Good morning Bernie...You are not boring maybe busy as a bee though...another get together for you to enjoy...
Our good weather may just change to a little rain today...we'll see!
Your hanging baskets were beautiful Bernie...and you are allowed to brag about flowers you've grown...:)
I wonder how your f/patient's wife is doing...I think I would feel "Herhusband's" presence in every twist and turn of my day...sometimes bringing joy and sometimes grief with it...just thinking about it puts me in a mood I don't want to be in...but that is what life is...dealing with whatever you must.
Take care and catch up on your sleep Bernie!

When you get your camera, the old or the new one, do post pictures of your hanging baskets. They must look as pretty as you describe them :-)

Have a wonderful next week getting everything done and then it's vacation time :-) Loads of love :-)

First, this post is not true...ever...are you using Diana's stuff (from her post that said it was boring)? No boring things here, always interesting and very nice! It's ok to say you are tired, in fact it looks like we are all tired.

How sweet that your favorite patient's wife reached out to you and since you are so 'over booked' maybe that is a good thing and she can even deal with this better through others (she might have felt she could still stay in some form of denial with you right now).

Now I am picturing your flowers as really hanging over a lot and maybe some tomatoes turning red...am I close here?

Hope you have a marvelous time with all of thsoe friends and that they tske pictures for you!

blessings and hugs,

marcy

I envy your "green thumb"! I ADORE hanging baskets, but must not water, fertilize & dead head enough....I have seen some WONDERFUL ones this summer!

I think you will be thrilled with the new features on cameras. Seems they're always improving them!

Pace yourself today, Bernie. I know you'll have a wonderful time with your friends.

How about those tennis sisters?! I'll be you'll have fun watching.

Hi Bernie-

Happy 4th of July to you my new friend. I am tired just thinking about your busy schedule. :-)

I am having a simply barbecue today. My son is home which is always a delight. He will pick up my MOm and just the three of us are having grilled hotdogs, burgers, all the fixins and I made sauteed zucchini and squash with spanish onion as our side dish. ANd strawberry rhubarb pie for desert. mmmmmmmm AND we are going to watch Tyler Perry's new movie "Myler Perry fan - I think he is a genius and this character he created and portrays, 'Madeia', is hysterical.

ANyway, have a "free" and happy day.

Love Gail

Hi again-

I am amazed at hoe many typos are in my comment. Mt goodness. I was trying to write "Tyler Perry"......and the movie is "Madeia Goes To Jail"...... he plays her character and he is fantastic. I was also trying to write that I am a Tyler Perry fan which came out horrid on my earlier comment.

I best get some more coffee.

love Gail

Hi Wanda, my FP wife sounded very sad yesterday...I only wish I had more energy to be able to meet with her but God forgive me I wasn't able to do anything yesterday, just really tired. I am sure she is in great pain with her grief. Its something that she cannot deny and must go through...so hard and so sad.
We are having rain now, but it is suppose to clear this afternoon.
Are you doing something special with your family today? I hope you do have a wonderful holiday weekend.....:-) Hugs

Hi Stillness, I will but I'm sure if you look back on my post you will see them as I posted pictures then.
Hope you are doing well...:-) Hugs

Bernie, it's so funny you wrote this post because if I had been up early enough this morning that's EXACTLY what I was going to post!
I read everybody else's blogs and I feel like mine is SO BORING!
And if I sit and try to think of something interesting to write about, absolutely nothing comes to mind!

I do not find coming here boring at all, I think I said the same thing to Diana, I wouldn't keep coming back for more if I felt bored. I like reading about your day, you have a great way of writing and it's almost like spending the day with you!
I am never bored when spending time with good friends. And I enjoyed spending this time with you and hearing about the excitement and enjoyment you have with your flowers. It lifts my spirits, really.

I didn't get to see Sarah on TV but my husband was on the computer last night and read about it and told me. At first I was shocked because she doesn't seem like a 'quitter' to me, but then I thought she's got something up her sleeve.
If she lays low and stays in Alaska we'll know the heat got too hot for her in the kitchen and she cried 'Uncle'.
If she does anything else we'll know she's still aspiring to something more.
Either way, I'm not going to judge the woman. I could not have withstood the attacks, I would have cried 'Uncle!' long, long ago.
And thanks so much for remembering that I said I liked her!

A nice, NOT boring post, Bernie!
All the best,
Eileen

Oh Marcy, you make me chuckle. My fp wife is in a great deal of pain, so sad really, more prayers please.
I have posted pictures of my hanging baskets earlier...I have little yellow flowers on tomato plants, no tomatoes.
You know Marcy that is a good idea, I will have Claudette take pictures and e-mail me them.
That is if I can get up and get moving...I am soooo tired my friend. .......:-) Hugs

Hi Rebecca, I just finished watching Serenna win over Venus, they are so good......am looking forward to men's final tomorrow.
Your right I have to learn to pace myself....it seems as if its all or nothing with me. I want to enjoy what summer we do have as the winter's are so long here.
Enjoy your holiday weekend my friend....:-) Hugs

I am a very social person, but sometimes I am like you and want to "pass" on them....but nine times out of ten, if I obligate myself to go anyway, I find I have the BEST time and glad I went.
We will have plenty of years to sit in our rockers (and then will be wishing we could go out again!) so when the opportunities present themselves, we gotta force ourselves to go.
Enjoy your friend's goodbye meeting, and feel her hug goodbye!
Then come home, put your feet up and enjoy a relaxing Sunday.
You will be in my thoughts.

Oh Gail, don't worry about typos, we all have them...I had no problem understanding what you were saying. I love the sound of zucchini/squash/spanish onions, made my mouth water. Have a wonderful day my friend...Hugs

Hi Eileen, I have decided that neither of us are boring even if we don't lead exciting lives like our friends...they love us anyway so we will just be ourselves.
I thing Sarah may be in a bit of trouble in Alaska, will have to see how this one works out. She didn't seem very confident and appeared quite nervous, so unlike her. Oh yeah I am a political junkie as well but tend to keep those opinions quiet. LOL
I always enjoy your post, I think we all have days that actually are boring to us but if I was writing in my journal I would of wrote the same thing so why not blog it eh.
Have a great grill with your family Eileen.....:-) Hugs

Joan, everything you have said is so true.....I am like that everytime.....I hope you have a wonderful "fourth". I love how you Americans celebrate this holiday. Familes seem so close to each other......:-) Hugs
