Hello Friends

Hello my friends, I missed you all more than I realized, you all have become such an important part of my life.

It has been a long time since I had such a wonderful two weeks. Every morning after our showers and breakfast we would go out on the deck and enjoy the warm sunshine, hot coffee and great conversations with people I love. We just enjoyed ....... the saultry air, the robins chirping as they visited us, friends and neighbours waving as they walked by our little piece of heaven....we made plans for the day ahead of us and laughed so much at everything including ourselves. Laughter was part of every day when I was home.

We were outside 99% of the time, only once did we eat dinner inside and only once did we leave the beach to visit my brother's and his wife's home for dinner and a visit. They have a beautiful home and you all would of enjoyed their lawns and flowers. My sister in law, Karen is very creative and an amazing gardener although my brother does help her a bit.

This is my sister in law, Ann Marie in my brother's back yard. You can click to enlarge.

My niece Kelley and her husband Ralph (who I met for the first time) from New York City. So good to see them both.

My sister Sylvia, my brother Jack who is also one of my best friends and me. We look more alike now that we are older than we ever have.

Me and my sister Sylvia before we went out to dinner with friends.

My brother who I love dearly at his place just before dinner. I always say God made him then broke the mold. We all should be blessed with a brother like Frank. He is such a soft and gentle soul.

Every day was full, we swam in the ocean, took long bicycle rides on the bike trails, walked on the soft warm sand on the beach as well as took long walks throughout the cottage and camp grounds. We stopped and said hello to complete strangers who went on to become friends. For two weeks I shared my life with the most wonderful people. On Saturday nights we danced until 2 in the morning only to wake up by 8 o'clock to meet up with friends and neighbours for breakfast. We then all would head over to the farmer's market, then shopped in the quaint shops in town and stop and have the best Walnut ice cream ever!!!!! My sister in law, who is also one of my best friends and I headed for the sun and surf during the afternoon and I have a nice tan for the first time in years. My brother, Jack BBQ'd for suppers most nights and as the sun went down we all sat out around the fire and chatted and laughed about the dance the night before. Each night I fell into bed happy and exhausted from the fresh air and full day looking forward to the next day filled with more fun. I will share more pictures and stories with you tomorrow.

I arrived home at 6:30 am this morning after a plane delay (due to fog) of over 7 hours exhausted. The full days and the 3 hour time difference has finally caught up with me. I am looking forward to catching up with all your post over the next few days.

I think you can click on my pictures to enlarge, I will check to make sure. So happy to be back with all of you.....Good Night and God Bless my friends, so good to be back with you.

Just checked and wasn't able to enlarge my photo's, sorry, I will post larger pictures tomorrow okay. Luv ya all, xoxo

GOOD MORNING BERNIE!!!
WELCOME HOME!!!
Hope you are well rested and your internal clock resets itself quickly...for me personally I'm so happy to have my morning coffee with your post in front of me again.

Your days at the beach certainly did leave you with a nice tan...you could pass for a teenager in those small photos! :)

Have fun catching up with the village people...but don't work too hard at it...fun can be stressful too you know...so relax and have a restful day Bernie...hope the pain of leaving has lessened...and any other!
Miles of Smiles Bernie!

WELCOME BACK, BERNIE!! You were surely missed!
I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself, it must have been hard to tear yourself away, but I'm sure it feels good to be home too.
You sound like you were very active which is wonderful, and I guess you were able to put to rest any fears that you wouldn't be working out as much!
So happy for the happy family time you spent these last few weeks, Bernie.
And so happy to have back with this blog family too!
Love,
Eileen

Hi Gail, I love hearing from you, you are so full of love and peace and share it so gracefully. Oh Gail we laughed so hard at times I thought my head would fall off, when we are all together talking about when we were little....its so funny although I'm sure our mum didn't think it funny at the time. Will catch up with your post over the weekend......:-) Hugs

Welcome Back to the Village!!

So good to hear that you had a wonderful time. My favorite part is all the laughing that you did. You have the kind of family with siblings that I always dreamed of as an only child...sort of like the old Father Knows Best, Leave It to Beaver and Donna Reed shows where everybody got along etc. etc. That is so unlike so many families today.

Bet you had some funny tales to share!

I also love that you are the littlest in your family...it just looks so cute to see everyone taller than you! (I'm even the shortest among my children.)

Can't wait for bigger pictures (I tried the clicking and got little pictures with big spaces behind them...too funny!) and some shared adventures.

blessings and hugs,

marcy

p.s. Jackie said to tell everyone that she can't get online and feels bad about it!

Hi Marcy, yes I am the shortest in my family and the only one with brown eyes. I use to tease my mum and asked her what the milkman looked like...she didn't appreciate my sense of humor..LOL Oh Marcy my husband was an only child and he loved my family and all the fun we had when together. I can't imagine my life without them but we all have our blessings and mine just happens to be wonderful brothers and sisters, as well as so many more things in my life to be thankful for. Thanks for letting us know that Jackie is unable to get online. It must be driving her crazy as I know how much I missed my computer when away but appreciated the break for sure.....take care my friend and as always its so great to hear from you.....:-) Hugs

Hello, Hello Bernie!
It was wonderful reading your update and feeling the happiness you experienced on your vacation with family. Laughter is good medicine, for sure - you should be feeling really good after you catch up on some rest. Dancing until 2AM?? I haven't done that in years! Hope the little yellow car is good as new soon. Did your hanging plants and deck flowers survive your absence?

Thanks to Marcy for letting you know that I was unable to get on line today....I do appreciate her doing that so much.
Bernie!!! Swimming, BBQing...dancing....Ohhhh.....you must have had just THE most marvelous time with your family.
Did I mention I missed you!!! I missed you a bunch.....and even more than that. Welcome home....I'm glad you had a safe trip there and back....Rest well, my friend.
Smiles,
Jackie

Hi Barb, just took my little yellow car in today to be repaired, and picked up my car rental....its lovely, a 2010 Fusion and oh I fell in love with it at first sight....I will enjoy driving it for a week and then pass it back in and return my loyalty and love back to my old faithful little car.
Unfortunately my flowers took quite a beating while I was gone, My hanging baskets are now in the garbage bin and I spent an hour yesterday trying to salvage my tomato plants, herbs and other potted plants. They will make it I think as they looked much healthier this morning. I should of went with my gut instinct as I didn't feel the young woman was very reliable. I almost wept when I saw them as I was so happy nuturing them and watching them grow, I thought I had the best hanging baskets ever....oh well live and learn and accept the challenge of trying to nuture what is left back to health.
I had a wonderful vacation and was so lonesome leaving but am now looking forward to getting back to my routine. With the time change and long flight home I felt like I hit a brick wall this morning, it will take me a few days. Great to be in my own bed again. Missed you my friend......:-) Hugs

I am so happy that you are back Bernie! I would have been by sooner to greet you but I have been pretty busy. It sounds like you had a wonderful trip. And made some wonderful new memories.
I have read your other post as well and I am very happy that it all went so well.
I hope that your tooth is feeling better and I am glad that it waited until you got home. I'll tell you first my son then my older daughter just had to have root canals and then my grandaughter had a whole lot of work done, then stillness and now you.
Were you able to workout at Curves while you were there Bernie? I've been doing really good, five days a week again! My waist is finally starting to come back!
I'm so glad your back Bernie and if I were there I would have gladly watered your plants!
Love and hugs Diana

Hello Miss Stillness, its great to be back, I was quite lonesome when I left my family and I find it gets harded every year but I also find contentment being in my own place, sleeping in my own bed. I have missed all of you when I was away, didn't have access to a computer very much and then when I did it was an unsecure site. Great to be back in the village again. Have a great day my friend...Hugs

My company is gone now so I am finally catching up reading all of my favorite blogs, which of course includes yours.
I thought of you so many times during your vacation away, hoping you were having the time of your life.
I am SO glad you did! And that everything went beautifully for you (except the fog!)
Welcome Home Bernie!
